Overview
As a Steel Fitter and Fabricator at ISF, you’ll take raw steel and turn it into finished components that hold projects together. This position requires precision, problem-solving, and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-moving shop environment. You’ll help ensure that every piece leaves the shop install-ready.
Responsibilities
- Fit and assemble steel components to detailed specifications
- Read blueprints and shop drawings to guide fabrication
- Perform accurate measurements and cuts with proper tools
- Work closely with welders and other crew members to meet deadlines
- Inspect finished work for quality and accuracy
Requirements
- Experience in steel fitting or fabrication required
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and measurements
- Union membership or ability to join required
- Skilled with tools and equipment used in steel fabrication
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
