Indiana Steel Fabricating provided 710 tons of structural and miscellaneous steel for the 60,000-square-foot expansion of Essex Furukawa Magnet Wire’s manufacturing facility in Franklin, Indiana. The new space was built to support magnet-wire production for electric and hybrid vehicle applications, a key investment in next-generation manufacturing technology.
Our scope included structural steel framing, wall girts and sag rods, metal floor grating, checkered floor plate, roof and floor decking, stairs, railings, and ladders. The project team featured American Structurepoint, Inc. as both architect and structural engineer, with Shiel Sexton serving as general contractor and Essex Furukawa as the owner.
From heavy framing to precision-fit miscellaneous metals, Indiana Steel Fabricating delivered on schedule and to exacting specifications, contributing to a facility designed for long-term industrial growth and innovation.
